We are currently seeking a *CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant)* on behalf of our client, a growing hospitality business. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, hospitality industry experience, and the ability to oversee financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
*Roles and Responsibilities:*
* Oversee full-cycle accounting and financial reporting functions * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements * Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support business operations * Oversee payroll processing, GST, PST, and other tax filings * Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements * Manage month-end and year-end close processes * Support internal controls, cost management, and operational efficiencies * Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed
*Qualifications and Experience:*
* CPA designation (required) * Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, or hotels * Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance * Experience with hospitality accounting systems and accounting software * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
