*Job Summary*
CalWest Caulking Ltd. is seeking to hire full-time motivated and detail-oriented Firestop Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing sealants in joints and penetrations and other specialized firestopping materials to ensure building safety and compliance with building codes. You will work on commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects using your skills to make a meaningful impact on building safety standards.
*Duties*
* Install firestop systems using specialized firestop sealants, and materials according to tested firestop systems * Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints * Use hand tools and power tools for installation of firestopping materials * Coordinate with management and construction superintendents to ensure timely completion of work * Conduct inspections to verify proper installation of firestop systems * Use ladders and operate equipment to aid in firestop installation * Maintain a clean job site
*Ideal Skills and Qualifications*
* Firestop installation experience * Familiarity with construction work * Familiarity with construction and technical drawings * Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools * Commitment to working safely and adhering to safety standards * Detail oriented * Working in a team environment * Performing repetitive task
