Start Day:- ASAP Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections on all buses and division vehiclesDiagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic system issuesComplete repairs on engines, drivetrains, brakes, HVAC, fuel systems, and specialized equipmentMaintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and digital recordsProvide emergency roadside support and coordinate towing or repair timelinesTrack fleet maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles meet regulatory complianceMaintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; order replacements as neededCommunicate repair needs, safety concerns, and vehicle status to supervisors and driversWinterize vehicles and support seasonal preparation, including snow removal around shop areasTest-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure safe operation Qualifications: Completion of an Automotive Service Technician program or similar technical trainingJourneyperson Mechanic status preferredValid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License (minimum)Class 2 License with S-Endorsement preferredAbility to perform heavy physical work (100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly)Ability to work independently and produce journeyperson-quality workStrong commitment to safe work practices If you require further information please contact the Maintenance Coordinator, Tony Kaglea 306-288-2310, or visit nlsd113.ca We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those shortlisted for interviews will be contacted.
