The Local 1914 Kitchen at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club is a high-volume, seasonal operation located just minutes outside Winnipeg off Highway 59. We run a tight, motivated kitchen with a strong team culture ? and we're looking for people who take their craft seriously.
*The Role*
We're hiring an experienced *First Cook (Hot Side / Entrée)* to join our team immediately. This is a hands-on evening-focused position responsible for executing our dinner à la carte menu, fine dining service, and banquet support for tournaments and weddings.
*You will be responsible for:*
* Executing hot side production for the dinner short-order and fine dining evening menus * Proper cooking techniques and temperature control across a wide range of proteins and ingredients * Prep, station organization, and end-of-shift cleaning to standard * Supporting junior staff training and maintaining consistency * Assisting with tournament and wedding banquet service as needed * Overtime availability when required
*What We're Looking For*
* Minimum 3 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment * Strong knowledge of cooking methods, heat control, and protein cookery * Ability to work efficiently under pressure and communicate professionally across departments * A genuine passion for food and a desire to grow your skills * *Must have own reliable transportation* ? no bus routes serve our location
