*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to oversee the efficient processing, packing, and dispatching of orders within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving operations. This role is vital in ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of shipments, supporting our e-commerce and warehouse distribution activities. The Shipping Coordinator will coordinate with various departments to manage inventory, prepare shipments, and optimize warehouse workflows, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
*Responsibilities*
* Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods. * Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely for load & unload operations. * Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, and AS400 platforms to track inventory, process orders, and update shipment statuses. * Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and documentation compliance. * Manage order picking and fulfillment processes accurately using order pickers or other tools. * Load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining safety standards. * Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels. * Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize distribution workflows and improve overall efficiency. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and productivity. * Support e-commerce order processing by ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of online orders.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles within a distribution or logistics environment. * Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or similar machinery; certification is a plus. * Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP software, AS400 or similar platforms. * Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including order fulfillment, order picking, packing, load & unload procedures. * Basic math skills for inventory counts and order calculations. * Ability to operate equipment safely following established protocols. * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipments. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. * Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
