About the role.As a Packaging Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the Packaging area, including rework and palletizing. You will play a critical role in driving performance, ensuring compliance with safety and HACCP standards, and developing team capability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. What you'll be doing.Oversee daily operations within the Packaging area, including rework and palletizing activitiesMonitor, record, and analyze equipment issues; collaborate with maintenance and technical teams to resolve themLiaise with mechanical and electrical coaches based on daily meeting insights and system data to drive timely corrective actionsCommunicate effectively with employees and management to ensure alignment on priorities and performanceEnsure full compliance with HACCP guidelines, policies, and documentation requirementsTrain, coach, and mentor new and existing employees, ensuring capability across all roles including rework and palletizingPromote and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Sigma and Kaizen eventsActively support and participate in MDI practices and processesMaintain confidentiality when handling sensitive informationWork collaboratively with team members and leadership to achieve production goals while managing multiple priorities What you'll need to be successful.Grade 12 diploma or GED (mandatory)Demonstrated leadership and team development skillsMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyExperience working in high-pressure situations with a positive and solution-focused mindsetKnowledge or experience with SAP, Kronos, and WMS (considered an asset)Strong commitment to safety, with a proven “Safety First” mindsetAbility to uphold company code of conduct and maintain confidentialityProven ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and drive change in a team environmentAlignment with McCain Leadership Principles About the team.You will be part of the Packaging operations team, working closely with cross-functional partners including maintenance, leadership, and production teams. Compensation Package: - Starting at 27.41 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
