About this role
The incumbent will be responsible for providing professional advice and recommendations pertaining to impact assessments for proposed energy industry exploration, development, production, transportation and abandonment projects submitted under both the Canada Energy Regulator Act and Canadian Oil and Gas Operations Act. Matters may pertain to: social and cultural well-being, traditional land and resource use, heritage resources, navigation safety, impacts on rights of Indigenous Peoples, engagement, route selection, gender-based analysis plus, acoustic environment, human health, impacts on infrastructure and services, etc. The Socio-Economic Analyst / Impact Assessor will assist in the design and implementation of follow-up programs, consider implications of the cumulative effects of the project upon the social environment, and ensure that consultation with those affected is considered during the assessment process.
