Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Restaurant and food service. Tasks: Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety and accident prevention.. Evaluate daily operations . Investigate outbreaks of diseases and food poisoning. Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public. Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations . Conduct surveys and monitoring programs of the natural environment. Collect samples of materials for analysis. Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products. Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards. Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses. Develop and implement health and safety plans. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Advise senior management. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility.
