About this role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Other grain farming. Outdoors. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Handling animals. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Hire and train staff. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
