Your mission Key Responsibilities <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Define and maintain the top-level aircraft system architecture, ensuring cohesive integration of all subsystems.</li><li>Perform functional decomposition of aircraft systems including avionics, propulsion, guidance & control, and payload integration.</li><li>Develop and manage top-level system requirements with full traceability to subsystems and mission objectives.</li><li>Provide oversight of Verification & Validation planning and execution, ensuring system-level requirements are verified and validated according to industry standards.</li><li>Lead interface management between mechanical, avionics, software, and payload subsystems.</li><li>Ensure regulatory compliance for UAV platforms, including SC Light UAS and other applicable standards.</li><li>Collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing, and operations teams to ensure compliance requirements across the UAV development lifecycle.</li><li>Guide and mentor junior system engineers, fostering a strong systems engineering culture.</li><li>Maintain and update system engineering artifacts, including architecture models, interface control documents, requirement specifications, and design rationale.</li><li>Participate in risk assessment, safety analysis, and airworthiness activities, ensuring robust and compliant system design. </li></ul> Competencies & Duties <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Working independently and responsibly. Perform tasks as described above.</li><li>Compliance according to ANAVIA’ employment contract, compliance with company’ safety instructions and employee’ safety requirements, compliance with employers’ quality manual, work instructions and corresponding process specifications and instructions.</li><li>International travel requires up to 25% of employee’ working hours.</li></ul> Your profile Qualifications <ul style="margin-top:0cm;"><li>Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>Experience: 10+ years of experience in aerospace or UAV systems engineering, with strong exposure to system architecture, requirements management, and V&V. Proven track record in leading system engineering teams and defining aircraft system architecture.</li><li>Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, including SC Light UAS and CS-27. Experience in requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama, Polarion, or equivalent). Familiarity with systems engineering standards (INCOSE, ISO 15288, ARP4754A).</li><li>Skills: Strong knowledge of Verification & Validation planning, testing, and integration.</li><li>High analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to balance technical rigor with practical engineering constraints.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and capability to produce clear, high-quality technical documentation. Proactive mindset with the ability to drive system-level decisions and identify technical risks early.</li><li>Communication: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and regulators.</li><li>Language: Proficiency in English (oral and written).
