About this role
What will be your responsibilities? <ul><li>Own month-end close activities for assigned entities within APAC, including journal entries, reconciliations, management reports, and variance analysis</li><li>Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and accounting documentation</li><li>Support multi-entity accounting activities across different countries and currencies</li><li>Ensure compliance to relevant accounting standards, reporting requirements, and internal policies</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions</li><li>Support corporate tax filings and statutory compliance activities</li><li>Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records</li><li>Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls</li><li>Maintain accounting accuracy and reporting integrity within Cloud-Based accounting i.e. Xero accounting system</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and finance initiatives</li><li>Support ad hoc finance projects, system improvements, and any other finance initiatives</li><li>Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff where applicable</li></ul> This is the profile we are looking for <ul><li>Education: Minimum of a Degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership are distinct advantages.</li><li>Experience: Typically 5-7 years in a commercial or audit environment.</li><li>Technical Skills<strong>:</strong><ul><li>Capability to handle a complete set of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger) up to final financial statements.</li><li>Have knowledge and hands-on experience with E-Invoicing</li><li>Proficiency with Xero Accounting System is an added advantage</li></ul></li></ul>
