Job summary
The post holder will provide safe, effective, and compassionate general medical services to registered and temporary patients, in line with NHS standards and practice protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering both face-to-face and telephone consultations, ensuring high standards of clinical care and patient experience
Managing a varied clinical caseload, including acute presentations, chronic disease management, preventive care, and minor illness/injury
Providing timely clinical administration, including referrals, prescribing, results management, and correspondence
Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records in accordance with GMC and practice requirements
Participating in duty doctor and triage sessions as required
Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to support safe, efficient patient care
Contributing to clinical meetings and quality improvement initiatives where appropriate

Job description Job responsibilities
The post holder will work as a General Practitioner at Queensway Surgery, providing high-quality, safe, and effective primary care services to registered and temporary patients. This role involves delivering a full range of general medical services in line with NHS contractual requirements, GMC standards, and practice protocols.
The GP will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient care, clinical governance, and service development within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Provide GP consultations (face-to-face and telephone) for acute and chronic presentations
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions in line with current guidance
Undertake appropriate minor illness/injury management and preventive care
Manage clinical administration including referrals, prescriptions, results, and correspondence
Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records
Participate in duty doctor and triage sessions as required
Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and administrative team
Contribute to clinical meetings, audits, safeguarding, and quality improvement activitiesProfessional Responsibilities

Qualifications Essential
GMC registered GP with licence to practise Inclusion on NHS England Performers List
Desirable
Additional postgraduate qualifications relevant to primary care
Experience Essential
