Waterloo Manor Hospital is a specialist hospital dedicated to supporting women with complex mental health needs, particularly personality disorders. Situated in serene, landscaped grounds on the outskirts of Garforth, Leeds, our facility blends exceptional clinical expertise with compassion, dignity and hope.
The team at provide compassionate, person-centred, and evidence-based care for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions including personality disorders, mental illness, and secondary conditions such as challenging behaviour, substance misuse, learning disabilities, disordered eating and dissociative identity disorder.
Individuals are supported by a highly experienced Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), which includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Doctors, Nurses, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Social Worker. Approaches include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care. Occupational Therapists help develop practical coping strategies through meaningful daily activities and vocational support, alongside a social worker who co-ordinates family involvement, legal matters, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care within the community.

Assessing patient health problems and needs, developing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records.
Administering nursing care to patients, ensuring their privacy, dignity, and respect.
Acting as a key worker for nominated patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Current RMN registration. NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy. Teaching qualification ENB 998, TICS, MELPS. Other specific job related post registration qualification.
Experience Essential
Working with complex, acute mental health. Providing staff supervision and appraisal to both qualified and non professionally aligned staff. Undertaking audits within a clinical setting. To have experience in working / liaising with multi-disciplinary teams and other agencies in the provision of care. The 1983 Mental Health Act and related legislation, codes of practice and guidance. Basic awareness of IT and IT skills
