Main duties of the job As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you'll support the residents while working within a compassionate and supportive team environment. The role is at Purley Gardens Care Home in Surrey, where you'll be making a difference in residents' lives every day. Your responsibilities will include acting as the person in charge and standing in for the Manager as needed. You'll be responsible for executing nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, and catheterization, and you will ensure effective deployment and supervision of staff, maintaining high standards of care for residents. To be successful in the role, you need to hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration, have a minimum of 2 years' experience, and possess sound knowledge of care planning.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as aRegistered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions. Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care. Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care. Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration. Demonstrate a minimum 2years experienceand up to date knowledge of care,supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualification. Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct anddemonstratecare activities. Have Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
