Main duties of the job As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary responsibility is to deliver high standards of personal care to residents. The role requires dedication and compassion, making a positive impact on the lives of residents daily. You will assist residents with their personal hygiene, ensuring dignity and independence. Other duties include recognizing clinical risk areas and escalating them, acting courteously towards residents and visitors, and practicing safe systems of work. Although experience is not required, excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions are essential. You must be adaptable and flexible to handle a range of duties at short notice.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner. Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident. Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.ABOUT YOU

Qualifications Essential
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, demonstrate initiative, and show respect towards residents and colleagues. They should be efficient workers capable of following reasonable instructions and adaptable to cover various responsibilities as needed. Experience is not a requirement due to a comprehensive induction and training program offered by Avery Healthcare to ensure confidence in the role.
