Position: Back to School Sales Associate – Temporary Contract
Division: Retail
Positions are available at all store locations, on the St. George, Mississauga, and Scarborough campuses – you are applying for a position at the downtown St. George Campus.
Here's what you'll be doing ….
We are looking for energetic, outgoing customer service staff to support store operations across multiple departments during the fall back to school period. In this role you'll deliver front-line customer service, assist with merchandise and web order fulfillment, and support day-to-day operational tasks as directed by store management from mid-August to late September.
Associates in this role work across departments as assigned, reporting to various Department Managers.
Available shifts will range from 20 to 35 hours per week – including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Hourly rate $18.25.

Key Responsibilities
• Greet customers and provide prompt, professional assistance in person.
• Operate a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and process all forms of payment accurately.
• Answer customer questions and ensure all service interactions are resolved effectively.
• Pick and pack merchandise for web and in-store orders.
• Unpack, stock, and merchandise product across assigned departments.
• Work in the Medical department, assisting with stocking, organization, and customer inquiries as directed.
• Maintain accurate shelving and organization of text and trade books.
• Maintain housekeeping and presentation standards in assigned areas.
• Support store opening and closing tasks as directed.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
• Previous customer service or retail experience is preferred.
• Move/lift/handle cartons/product weighing up to 15 kg.
• This role requires remaining active throughout the shift.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
• Customer-focused and motivated, with a commitment to professional service.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a busy environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
• Self-directed, open to feedback, and uses sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or POS systems is highly desirable.
• Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning is highly valued - a growth mindset.
