About this role
We’re looking for someone with the drive to close deals who also loves building long lasting relationships with people and partners. You’re comfortable pitching to an executive level as well as networking with the right salespeople (or whoever it takes!) to get you in the door. You thrive in an autonomous working environment and don’t mind remote work, but are a strong communicator who is able to keep in constant contact with relevant stakeholders as needed. You'll know that nothing is a done deal until the paper is signed and won't rest until initial opportunities are qualified and converted. Initially this will be a freelance position working on commission, ideally growing into a full-time role with equity, competitive salary and benefits. This position can be based anywhere in the US, though preferably in the eastern time zone as our company is based in Stockholm, Sweden. *Please submit your application in English* Responsibilities: - Identifying the major players in fishing retail and gear and engaging with them at an enterprise level - Building relationships with the relevant departments of US states and fish and wildlife departments, with the aim of creating long-term business, data, and content partnerships - Chasing leads, building the deal pipeline with qualified leads and reaching the target deal signatures - Deep diving into businesses to understand their pain points and relating them to Fishbrain’s unique selling points - Work with product and marketing to translate our product into understandable, attractive offering that clearly defines our value proposition - Own your pipeline by managing your projects and priorities and by maintaining appropriate communication with all stakeholders. We’re now building out our e-commerce offering and looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help us grow our B2B relationships with fishing brands and other key industry organizations in the US.
