We have over 7 million users all over the world who have logged over 5 million catches in our app. We’re growing fast, both in our social network and in the company, which is why we’re looking for a Director of Engineering to join our pond. We hope that it’s you. In the position as a Director of Engineering you will work closely with our skilled technical teams and with our brilliant CTO. This is the first Director of Engineering position at Fishbrain which means that you will be able to be a part of forming the role within the company. We’re growing rapidly and are still a startup so in this role you will have a big impact on creating the vision and environment when it comes to the technology and culture. Your work will involve: People and Team Management - Coaching and mentoring our school of fish, kidding, it’s our technical teams and developing leadership in our Engineering Managers. You will also make sure our Technical teams are thriving and swimming in the right direction. Agile Culture - We are in constantly changing waters so you will work with improvements and driving our Continuous Integration, which we hold ourselves to high standards. Recruitment - We are going to grow a lot and need to expand our pond. Along with our People and Culture team you will help define hiring goals, drive team engagement and optimize the process. Technology Vision - Work closely with our CTO and Engineering Managers to come up with ideas and create road-maps to satisfy our customer demands Our Bait We have trust in our employees which means that 1. you will be given a lot of responsibility from day one and 2. we value your opinions and and ideas.
