About this role
First line troubleshooting for all tools and processes in the Inspection, Metrology and Characterization area. What you will do You will be a member of the In Line Metrology (ILIME) engineering team which is part of the Inspection and Metrology Characterization group (IMC). The IMC group is responsible for the metrology and defectivity process portfolio and tools and follows up processes under evaluation/validation for future needs. A Pilot Line Engineer: Is responsible for daily follow-up of process & tools, their qualification, stability, improvements and problem prevention. Troubleshoots process and wafer related issues and enables first line trouble shooters to step up. Communicates clearly to stakeholders via multiple communication channels (systems, meetings, mails, etc.) Investigates reoccurring issues, focusing on root cause analysis and structural solutions. Keeps focus on quality and reproducibility, monitoring stability and taking actions in case of process fluctuations. Designs experimental plans and executes them in the cleanroom, performing data analysis and taking care of reporting and documentation. Works in a dynamic multidisciplinary and multicultural environment in close cooperation with researchers, hardware engineers, operations, industry assignees, device and process experts. Works in a two-shifts system (Early/Late) including 1 weekend (Sa/Su) out of 3. Who you are You obtained a Master in Science or Engineering or equal by experience and display strong engineering skills and mindset. Being proactive and flexible is key to drive for results on a daily basis and shift priorities when needed You like to work autonomously, well organized, with a good attention to detail and set high standards for quality. You do not get stuck when the situation is unclear or when ambiguity exists Experience in a FAB environment is a strong asset. As you will work in cross functional teams, strong communication and reporting skills are required. You are a team player with a strong drive to share your experience and knowledge with colleagues.
