About this role
ASICS has an exciting opportunity to join our robust Finance team as an Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be responsible for sustainable corporate finances while managing the corporate budget on financial initiatives, performing financial reporting and providing effective advice to senior management.

Performing end-to-end Accountant dutiesAssisting in budgetary control and costing analysis and managing the general ledger functionsAssisting in taxation, internal audits, preparation of management reports of statutory returnsWorking closely and cooperating with external consultants (bankers and auditors)Assist in the provision of company secretarial functions at a more routine levelWorking on special projects such as internal control compliance, documentation project and process improvement initiativesResponding to requests for financial and related information from other departments within the CompanyAssisting the Accounting Manager on reporting and accounting tasksPerformance of ad-hoc projects as required

Excellent technical skills in financial accountingExperience in a commercial environment (4-5 years) within the distribution industry in retail.High level working knowledge of SAPProven strong Microsoft Excel skillsDemonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasksDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team in a busy environmentAbility to deal with confidential information in a professional mannerHigh level of strong interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship within the department team membersStrong communication skills in understanding and following verbal and written instructions
