Salary Ranges are outlined below for your preferred location. Remuneration will depend on individual experience, skill level and demonstrated capabilities.
Australia: Pro-Rata Salary Range of $130k Base to $150k Base plus 12% Superannuation and access to Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging with a value of up to $15,900
United Kingdom: £62,000 - £70,000 per annum (for 1FTE) Plus 5% employer pension contribution
India: Salary Range of INR1,604,100 to INR2,556,000
The Opportunity:
As The George Institute continues to expand its global research programs, we are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Quality Assurance Manager to lead and enhance our research quality assurance framework and governance processes. This specialist leadership role is critical to strengthening research quality, risk and compliance management, and ensuring robust research governance across our global operations.
You will drive the development and continuous improvement of Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and play a central role in supporting excellence in research delivery.
Reporting directly to the Director of Risk, Compliance and Quality Assurance, you will work closely with the CORE Leadership Group and provide direction to regional Quality Assurance teams. This is an exciting opportunity to influence research quality systems at a leading global research institute with a bold mission and strong commitment to impact.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead the development and implementation of the Institute’s Research Quality Assurance and Risk and Compliance Frameworks. Provide expert advice to senior leaders on emerging research quality, policy and regulatory matters. Establish and maintain governance structures for research projects, including escalations, reporting and complaints processes, and vendor due diligence. Manage the Research Policy and SOP Framework, ensuring regular review cycles and compliance with internal and external requirements globally. Establish a Quality Management System aligned with ICH E8 and strengthen quality monitoring and compliance mechanisms across the Institute. Maintain oversight of GCP updates and ensure availability of internal trainers for all staff and collaborators. Lead Research Integrity processes, including advisor training and role establishment across regions. Oversee data quality and confidentiality within SPoT, providing regular research reporting in collaboration with data management teams. Manage Life Science insurance coverage for all research projects, including annual renewals and project onboarding. Provide leadership, guidance and performance management oversight to the Quality Assurance team across regions.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate
Tertiary qualifications in a health‑related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. Demonstrable experience in a global health research environment, including managing multi‑country clinical and non‑clinical projects. Deep knowledge of ICH‑GCP, global and local ethical and regulatory requirements. Experience writing policies and procedures, and applying risk management strategies within health research settings. Strong understanding of quality management systems and applications in research environments. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, problem‑solving and analytical skills. Ability to adapt to changing organisational priorities and operate effectively in complex, fast‑paced settings
