Job summary
Blossom Health Gosport are expanding their nursing team and are looking to recruit a phlebotomist for 16 hours per week.You will be required to work 8hrs per day on Mondays & Fridays and will be entitled to five weeks holiday and access to the NHS Pension Scheme.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have previous phlebotomy experience and have undertaken a recognised training course. You will be responsible maintaining accurate records, ensuring patient identification and labelling of samples.

Job description Job responsibilities
Working under the direction of the lead nurse and as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture, as requested by the clinical team, to the entitled patient population. In addition, the Phlebotomist will be expected to support the nursing team on an as required basis.

Qualifications Essential
GCSE grade A-C in Maths & English Relevant qualification in venepuncture
Desirable
NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care
Experience Essential
Experience of working in a healthcare setting Experience of working within a nursing team

Experience of working in a Primary Care environment
Knowledge & Skills Essential
Ability to record accurate clinical notes and follow clinical policy and procedure Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously Ability to work under pressure

Clinical IT system user skills Competent in the use of MS Office applications
