Title: Sales Engineer – Textile & Plastic Products (Manufacturing) Location: Macon, GA (Travel Required)
Avant Tech is partnering with a global manufacturing leader to hire a Sales Engineer to support textile and plastic fastening solutions across multiple industries. This role blends engineering expertise with customer-facing technical consulting and sales support.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, manufacturing, and sales teamsDeliver technical presentations, demos, and consultative sales supportCollaborate with R&D on product development and design improvementsConduct customer site visits, product testing, and process compatibility trialsBenchmark competitor products and document technical findingsSupport sales strategy and customer penetration initiativesManage documentation, change records, and technical reportingTrain internal teams on products, processes, and testing standardsRequirements
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field3–5 years of experience in technical sales, product engineering, or manufacturingStrong communication and presentation skillsWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyExperience with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) preferredSpanish language skills preferredProject management experience is a plusBenefits
