About the role

Wealthsimple is looking for a client-obsessed, detail-oriented, and proactive Associate, Mortgage Closing Specialist to support our growing mortgage brokerage. Reporting to the Director, Principal Mortgage Broker, you’ll be the central point of contact for clients after their mortgage is approved, ensuring a seamless and positive journey to their closing day. During your 6 month secondment, you will support a team of brokers by owning the final steps of the mortgage process, coordinating with lawyers and lenders, and making a complex process feel simple for our clients.

This is a 6 month secondment position.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Own the post-approval client experience, acting as the primary point of contact and dedicated guide from the moment the mortgage is approved until it funds.

Serve as the central hub between clients, mortgage brokers, lenders, and lawyers to ensure all parties are aligned and deadlines are met.

Manage all closing documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness while coordinating the seamless transfer of information to legal representatives and lenders.

Proactively solve problems that could delay funding, taking ownership to ensure a smooth and timely closing for every client.

Design and improve closing workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation to enhance the client experience at scale.

Partner with Wealthsimple's legal and compliance teams to ensure all closing activities align with regulatory requirements and company best practices.

Foster a culture of excellence, providing brokers with the confidence that their clients are receiving the best closing experience in the industry.

1+ years of relevant experience: You have worked in a client-facing role in the mortgage, real estate, legal, or financial services industry. You have a deep understanding
