We have an exciting opportunity to support our client in Environmental Monitoring. The Associate Scientist will be responsible for performing aseptic sampling of viable and non-viable environmental and water.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform aseptic sampling of viable and non-viable environmental monitoring and waterOperate the autoclave to ensure a reliable supply of sterile suppliesPerform receiving dutiesAssists in QC archiving, logbook management, and records retentionPerforms basic metrology and housekeeping dutiesMaintains adequate inventories for tasks (e.g., reagents, glassware, media, etc)May perform basic laboratory testsUndertake routine tests on products and materials and generate laboratory results, using a range of analytical and microbial techniques, against the agreed quality standards.May undertake non-routine testing under supervision.Conduct daily checks, calibrate laboratory equipment, and ensure system suitability of laboratory equipment in accordance with the schedule.Identify and implement steps to resolve equipment / testing issues within assigned area.Conduct documentation of results and analysis of issues using digital tools and applications as applicable.Accurately complete all data entry requirements using ALCOA+ principlesPrepare solutions and standards accurately and with appropriate documentation BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in scientific discipline is requiredKnowledge of aseptic techniquesAttention to detailPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a laboratory settingClean room experienceUnderstanding of pharmaceuticals development and cGMP principles is a plus This position is Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Frederick, MD are encouraged to apply. The compensation range for this role is between $23-24.50/hr and is based on experience.
