About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Programmes Officer to join our Courses and Assessments Support Team (CAST) in the Faculty of Engineering and Design here at the university of Bath.
Working alongside two existing Programmes Officers you will lead the Faculty’s CASTeam, working within a supportive and forward-thinking environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will provide leadership, management and operational oversight, and support to the team ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of the Faculty’s assessment business.
The role includes line management responsibility for Programme Administrator(s) and joint responsibility – together with the other Programmes Officers – for ensuring compliance with University academic regulations and quality assurance policies.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled administrator with a strong interest in digital skills development and process improvements. A key focus of the role will be supporting colleagues to develop their digital skills and confidence and embedding digital tools and approaches to enhance efficiency across our operations.
About you
You will ideally bring:
Experience of leading or managing a team Knowledge and experience of course or assessment administration, preferably within higher education. Strong digital skills and enthusiasm for supporting others to use digital systems and process improvement tools such as AI, Power Automate and Power BI. An understanding of University regulations, policies and procedures, or the ability to develop this quickly. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands. A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
