Prioritizing employee growth and development, we empower everyone to reach their full potential on their own terms.</p> <p> </p> <h3><b>Bombardier’s Benefits Program</b></h3> <p> </p> <p>With our employees’ well-being top of mind, we offer a comprehensive and competitive Benefits Program, which includes the following: </p> <ul> <li>Insurance plans <ul> <li><em>Dental, medical, life insurance, disability, and more </em></li> </ul> </li> <li>Competitive base salary </li> <li>Retirement savings plan </li> <li>Employee Assistance Program </li> <li>Tele Health Program </li> </ul> <div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H3 style="margin:0.0px"><b>What are your contributions to the team?</b></H3> </div><div><p>In your role, reporting to the Director of Product Development you will:<br> • Lead a team of Systems Engineers<br> • Participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees<br> • Ensure a good, positive, and healthy working environment for the employees (communication, recognition, coaching, and career development plans/opportunities).<br> • Ensure adequate engineering resources are allocated to the tasks to support aircraft development and support production and in-service issue resolution<br> • Manage and resolve priority conflicts within own department and with internal customers.<br> • Be accountable for your group’s performance – deliver on-time, within budget and with quality to support the business objectives.<br> • Participate in the organization of departmental governance.<br> • Provide visibility on the execution, issues, and escalations, as needed, to your Director/VP.<br> • Participate in budget preparation and have accountability for managing financial resources.<br> • Identify cost reduction opportunities.<br> • Identify training and travel required to support business needs.<br> • Develop or adapt tools and processes as needed by the function in order to meet our organizational objectives.<br> • Manage the Structures Supplier(s) and establish weekly technical coordination meetings to meet program commitments<br> • Develop structure and system installation conceptual layouts for the complete Airframe on new and existing aircraft programs.<br> • Closely interface with stress, systems, interiors, and support functions such as thermodynamics, mass properties, etc.<br> • Generate preliminary design studies and layouts using 3D modeling. <br> • Provide technical solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues.<br> • Generate and execute weight savings ideas.<br> • Supply input to impact analysis (technical, cost, schedule).<br> • Support directly other engineering and operations departments.<br> • Support or lead design and program reviews with partner/suppliers.<br> • Provide status for project and functional management.<br> • Manage design changes through all the cycles of the change management process.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H3 style="margin:0.0px"><b>How to thrive in this role?</b></H3> </div><div><p>As our ideal candidate,<br> • You have a technologist or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or aerospace technical field plus a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in aerospace or related industry.<br> • You must possess a strong knowledge of aircraft structures and/or systems installation: configuration, preliminary sizing, design for manufacturing, detail design (sheet metal, machined parts, piping, component assembly, GD&T), material and processes, certification requirements, weight control and industry design standards.<br> • You have a strong familiarity in aerospace manufacturing processes and capabilities.<br> • Your familiarity with Aircraft systems overall operation and function is considered an asset.<br> • Your familiarity with in-service operation and aircraft maintenance is an asset.<br> • Your familiarity with Aircraft Interiors is considered an asset.<br> • You have knowledge of CATIA V5, Enovia and MS Office is required.<br> • Knowledge of NX and Teamcenter is an asset.<br> • You are an energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a high sense of commitment, are willing to accept responsibilities and act independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team.<br> • You must be fluent in English.
