We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented members with the skills and passions to become the best of the future in what they do.<br> <br> The Shop Floor Scheduler manages the execution of the MPS (Master Production Schedule) in the value streams. This includes the management of visual systems to communicate / monitor the sequence of production orders and ensuring the availability of resources (tooling, raw material, etc.); The Shop Floor Scheduler also creates and maintains sequenced production according to the MPS.<br> </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word">Job Responsibilities </div><div><ul> <li>Sequence work orders in line with MPS for specified products and production lines understanding all the physical and manning constraints of these lines.</li> <li>Monitor manufacturing output/performance daily against the schedule, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from standard.</li> <li>Monitor Stock cover daily in order to avoid stock-outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the execution sequence if possible or raising the issue with the Master Scheduler.</li> <li>Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix, volumes and required availability dates,</li> <li>Ensure the sequenced plan is feasible and balanced.</li> <li>Monitor availability of raw material / components and escalate as required to Procurement / Master Scheduler.</li> <li>Proactively communicate/escalate to the Master Scheduler / value stream management potential production execution issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions against potential supply failure.</li> <li>Weekly track, challenge and report to Management team Schedule Adherence with reasons for deviation,</li> <li>Ensure tracking and updating of actual run-rates, batch quantities and changeover-times data.</li> <li>Review and maintain ERP accuracy on orders – materials posting, confirmations, and completion dates accurate.</li> <li>Ensure meeting customer deliveries on time.</li> <li>Support customer meetings and report as required.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline OR high school diploma with 2+ years of experience using MRP/ERP Systems required.</li> <li>Must be a US Citizen due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Complex manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.</li> <li>MS Excel experience preferred.</li> <li>Previous experience preferred in one or more of the following: daily scheduling & execution for forecasting & demand planning, SIOP / MPS / MRP, Master Data Management, inventory management, internal flow & warehousing preferred.<br> </li> </ul> </div></div></div><p>Diversity Inclusion and Belonging (DIB)</p> <p>As a global engineering company, innovation is what differentiates us from our competitors and is central to our success.</p> <p>A balance of cultures, ethnicities and genders help bring new ideas and creativity to GKN.
