The Program Director will be accountable for all program performance within the business including recurring profitability, NPI execution and the Voice of the Customer, as well as deploying the functional governance aligned to the Parent Program Management standards. As a Program Director you will lead a team of Program Managers and IPTs that manage complex customer facing programs in the Defense, Civil and Engines markets that will include multiple products and platforms whilst providing business leadership to ensure the contractual requirements are delivered and the business results are achieved. The Program Director will need to interface with key stakeholders in the Parent company to ensure that program strategies and performance align with the Parent company strategic direction whilst maintaining the overall integrity of the SSA Affiliate Operating Plan. </div></div><div style="padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;"><div style="word-wrap: break-word;">Job Responsibilities</div><div>•    Champion Program Management excellence as the leader of the Program Management Function in the business ensuring PMs and IPTs meet the functional and site governance requirements and leading continuous improvement of the policies to stay aligned to AS9100 and Parent policies. •    Oversee Business Development and Bids and Proposals activities to support strategic growth; coordinate cost budget, schedule and technical compliance to meet the requirements of the customer, internal or external. Ensure contract negotiation aligns to approved business case, statement of work and requirements. •    Execute and deliver programs from contract award through to closure within the boundaries of the approved Business Case through a gated life cycle management process. •    Ensure Customer Requirements are documented, understood, assessed and integrated into the Program Management Plan (PMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and appropriate budgets are assigned to complete all tasks to deliver the Requirements. •    Identify Customer Tiered Milestones (e.g. PDR, CDR, PRR, etc.) and align the PMP and IMS to ensure all Tiered Milestones will be achieved on schedule and on budget. •    Business leader: delivering Sales, Profit, Margin, Inventory, Quality, Delivery and Cash Received in accordance with Annual Operating Plan. •    Set the strategic direction, priority and timing for the PMs and IPTs and contributes to their PDP setting the performance objectives. •    Ensure the suitable engagement of all key stakeholders to enable program performance, though proactively resolving issues and risks. Agree a set of performance with the Site Directors and continue to manage Customer interface and approve any external changes. •    Prepared to perform duties outside of direct job description in order to meet business needs. •    Will be responsible for implementation and standardization of program management excellence such as EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems) throughout the business.   Required Qualifications: •    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Finance, Mathematics or Business •    10 years aerospace and defense experience •    5 years of DOD program management experience  •    2 years of experience working directly for a SSA/FOCI mitigated company •    Must have the ability to obtain a Secret DOD clearance. •    Must be a US Citizen due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.
