There are no limits to where you can take your career. <div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Summary</H2> </div><div>The Quality Inspector is responsible for the verification of product characteristics and associated manufacturing documentation and other quality records, utilizing a range of inspection techniques and methods including, but not limited to visual, mechanical, automated, contact and non-contact. </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul style="margin-top:18.0px"> <li>Exemplify a safety-first mind-set and ensuring that the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are followed</li> <li>Responsible for performing Receiving, In-processes and Final Inspections as described by the product work instructions and/or other directions</li> <li>Responsible for performing first article inspections in line with site operating policies, procedures and work instructions</li> <li>Conduct first piece inspection and recommend process adjustments to ensure part and process conformance</li> <li>Read and interpret laboratory reports for conformity and record results</li> <li>Monitor oven parameters and adjust as necessary</li> <li>Collect and create required documentation for shipments</li> <li>Perform routine survey on Heat Treat ovens and record data in applicable systems</li> <li>Responsible for execution customer and regulatory delegated inspection processes as authorized by those parties</li> <li>Support root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances</li> <li>Maintain positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers</li> <li>Support continuous improvement of production and inspection processes by implementing Lean initiatives</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Qualifications</H2> </div><div><h1>Basic Qualifications:</h1> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent </li> <li>1 year using hand tools – micrometers, gages, and calipers</li> <li>1 year quality experience preferably in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>1 year experience in inspection methods and techniques and following relevant work instructions</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: • AS130001 Certification • Experience in an Aerospace operating environment with LEAN practices and processes • Apprenticeship, Associate’s Degree in a technical subject or equivalent • Awareness of AS9100 series requirements • Previous delegated product acceptance authority granted by an Aerospace OEM or regulatory authority • Familiarity with 3D model-based Engineering </div></div></div>We’ll offer you fantastic challenges and amazing opportunities.
