Offering a full range of capabilities; design, analysis, testing, certification and manufacture of electro-thermal ice protection, military fast jet canopies and flight deck windows to over 20 programmes including: Boeing 787, Dreamliner, Airbus A320, AgustaWestland, AW101, Eurofighter Typhoon and Lockheed, Martin F-22 Raptor. Our customers include Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopters, Textron, BAE Systems, Pratt &amp; Whitney, Leonardo. Our Luton site is home to 400+ employees and onsite facilities including onsite parking, canteen, vending machines and showers.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Summary</H2> </div><div><p>As the Product Quality Assurance Engineer you’ll join the Quality team reporting to the Senior Product Quality Assurance Engineer based at our Luton manufacturing operation. You’ll execute on, support and assure, Product Safety, Product Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and GKN One Aerospace Quality Culture through zero defects quality planning, Cost of Poor Quality identification and reduction, product realisation, delivery, delivery of customer support, and supporting the organisation in risk management, problem solving and quality improvement projects. The role will require flexibility for occasional travel both National and Internationally.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Exemplify a Safety/Quality-first mind-set and ensuring compliance with the GKN Aerospace Cultural Principles, HSE and Quality policies and standards Assure and verify product quality planning, realisation and delivery activities are completed in accordance with applicable requirements. </li> <li>Support Program Management/IPT teams, acting as first line POC for Customer and Governmental Quality Representatives, including relationship management, coordinating product buy off, audits, quality related enquires and issue resolution.</li> <li>Support Site/Group/Team leaders in the development and nurturing of the site Quality Culture.</li> <li>Ensure customer, regulatory and GKN system, product and process requirements are identified, documented appropriately (e.g. Program Quality Assurance Plans/Product Quality Control Plans), understood and implemented through effective means of compliance, meeting interested parties’ needs.</li> <li>Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing) teams to ensure design specifications and production process capabilities are aligned and to define effective process controls and unambiguous product acceptance criteria to enable and ensure product safety and zero defect delivery.</li> <li>Represent quality requirements within the Material Review Board (MRB)</li> <li>Validate product conformity through the completion of internal First Article Activity packs (FAIR) as per AS9102.</li> <li>Support and assure responsive and effective problem resolution through Containment, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action and Verification of Effectiveness.<br> </li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">How You&apos;ll Contribute </H2> </div><div><p>To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:<br> <b>Essential:</b></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrable experience gained from a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Product Quality Assurance and Improvement experience</li> <li>Experience of non-conformance investigation techniques</li> <li>Experience of ISO 9001</li> <li>Auditing experience</li> </ul> <p><br> <b>Desirable:</b></p> <ul> <li>Auditor qualification or certification</li> <li>Experience of AS9110 or AS9100</li> <li>Experience of Aviation Regulations EASA Part 145 or EASA Part 21G</li> <li>New Product and Process Introduction (Industrialisation) experience</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented members with the skills and passions to become the best of the future in what they do.
