Reporting directly to the President of our Civil business, in this key strategic role, you will be the link between Operations, Supply Chain and our Programmes team, leading and overseeing the performance of our Procurement Function. You will ensure we have the necessary resources, materials and goods to meet operational needs in a cost-effective and efficient manner, aligned with the overall strategic goals of the Civil business. You will be accountable for overseeing the management and development of our supplier base performance, including strategic supplier relationships. To do this, you will lead and develop a team of supply chain and procurement professionals (10 direct reports, wider team 200+).</p> <p>This person could be based in the UK or the Netherlands (Papendrecht). In the UK, we have offices in Solihull and Central London, where this person could be based. We have UK Civil production sites in Bristol and Cowes and sites around the world.</p> <p>Regardless of base location, you will be expected to spend a reasonable amount of time travelling, with primary requirements to be in the UK and the Netherlands (Papendrecht) where we have large manufacturing presences. You will be expected to travel to our US sites less regularly and to global suppliers as necessary. </p> <p>In short, in this role, you will have the opportunity to really make a big difference to the future of our business - and to civil aviation. </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">How You&apos;ll Contribute</H2> </div><div><p>Specific duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Role modelling a culture that is aligned to the GKN Aerospace “Great Place to Work” value drivers and Culture Principles and provide a safe working environment for Procurement employees. </li> <li>Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement Ensure clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities are identified, communicated and adhered to.</li> <li>Overseeing for the Civil business the development and implementation of the strategies and tactical plans for procuring goods and services in a cost-effective and efficient manner, in order to deliver the BL strategy and goals. </li> <li> Overseeing the quarterly review/update of these strategies and plans if needed in line with the SIOP cycle: <ul> <li>In collaboration between sites, programs, SQD, Programs and commodities, prioritize as needed the tactical plans in alignment with the Business Line goals; monitor their execution to realize the strategies and deliver the commits in budget and strategic plan</li> <li>External costs responsibility in the sourcing, bids and Make Move Buy gates through the PPMs and commodities</li> <li>Stakeholder in the sourcing process and commodity strategies approval to ensure the BL’s goals and</li> <li>Monitor work transfers and support the sites as needed from the global Procurement organization</li> <li>Monitor relationships with suppliers (SRM, escalation, pro-active risk management and Supplier development)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ensuring Procurement Excellence: collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process and tools improvements and secure process adherence to increase efficiency, optimize inventory, reduce costs and improve predictability.</li> <li>Leading, developing and mentoring team members to ensure they have the skills and resources they need to succeed;
