Whatever part you play you’ll be helping us deliver operational excellence to our customers.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Summary</H2> </div><div><p>The Finance Business Partner – Sustainability can be based at any of UK sites including Blythe Valley (Solihull), Bristol, Portsmouth, Luton or Cowes (Isle of White) in this global functions role supporting all of our business lines (Civil, Defence & Engines). The role will require flexibility for monthly national, EU and international travel to support projects and attend internal meetings, the incumbent will get the flexibility to work from home for up to 3 days per week dependent on the needs of the business. The Finance Business Partner – Sustainability will report to the VP Finance – Governance whilst serving as the sustainability lead for finance, the incumbent will work closely with the finance and sustainability teams and build relationships with the other key groups involved in sustainability across business lines, the CTO team, procurement and HSE.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Update policies and processes embedding sustainability requirements </li> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Lead in setting, measuring and reporting key sustainability KPIs </li> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Liaise with business lines to ensure actions and roadmaps are aligned to our 2025 targets </li> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Lead in defining an internal investment (capex) process aligned to our sustainability targets</li> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Implement Melrose green investment initiatives as necessary </li> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Support external accountants with the sustainability data assurance reviews </li> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Embed climate and related regulatory risks into enterprise risk management process </li> <li align="left" style="text-align:left">Deliver ad hoc sustainability projects for the VP Finance - Governance or Director of Sustainability </li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">How You'll Contribute</H2> </div><div><p>To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:</p> <p><b>Essential:</b></p> <ul> <li>Part accountancy qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA</li> <li>Significant finance experience</li> <li>Experience of finance sustainability reporting</li> <li>Experience of stakeholder engagement and a proven track record of building effective relationships</li> <li>Competency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint</li> </ul> <p><br> <b>Desirable:</b></p> <ul> <li>Qualified accountant from a recognised professional body</li> <li>Finance experience gained from a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Experience gained from a global organisation having worked effectively across different cultures</li> </ul> <p><br> We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented members with the skills and passions to become the best of the future in what they do.
