With the guidance of our aerospace industry leaders, interns will support day-to-day program operations for the business. </p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><p>• Support administration and activities associated with the control and monitoring of progress, scope, cost and resource management for aerospace programs, business development and commercial/contracts.<br> • Compiling and following up on work breakdown structure (WBS), organization breakdown structure (OBS), and cost breakdown structure (CBS) schedules/ plans for the program. <br> • Preparing and maintaining the customer outlook for budgeting purposes.<br> • Support creation, coordination and delivery of (change) proposals to customer requests.<br> • Preparing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting the data on program performance, and following up on actions in case of deviations.<br> • Review contracts alongside Contracts Department in order to understand proposals and standard terms.<br> • Assist with preparation of cost estimates, business cases and customer pricing<br> • Organize contracts and files. <br> • Assisting with departmental continuous improvement actions to standardize and optimize ways of work<br> • Perform other related duties as required<br> • Complete and present internship final project to leadership team. </p> <p>Internship Details<br> • Flexible work schedule <br> • Duration of Internship: 3 to 6 months <br> • Paid Internship <br> • The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Qualifications</H2> </div><div><p>• Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business or related fields <br> • Minimum of 3.0 GPA <br> • Must be able to work onsite minimum of 20 + hours per week<br> • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirement </p> <p>Preferred Qualifications<br> • Self-starter that can manage or organize their activities in a team environment.<br> • Demonstrated competent and effective communication<br> • Strong organizational and management skills.<br> • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint &amp; Outlook)<br> • Good analytical skills and financial acumen </p> </div></div></div><p>Diversity Inclusion and Belonging (DIB)</p> <p>As a global engineering company, innovation is what differentiates us from our competitors and is central to our success.</p> <p>A balance of cultures, ethnicities and genders help bring new ideas and creativity to GKN.
