Fabricates prototype-machining fixtures for development. 2. Reviews tooling and planning approaches and advises engineering on optimization and / or potential problems. 3. Is competent to run all machines and controllers in immediate area. 4. Reviews new customer / planning requests for compliance on FAI jobs. Performs as "point of contact" for in-house Quality audits and or inquiries. 5. Reviews and advises / recommends process improvements based on SPC data. Trains other machinists on how to interpret SPC data. 6. Prepares and implements cross training, including theory and practice testing. 7. Reviews processes for optimal performance including; fixturing, standard tooling, cutter motion, speeds and feeds and cutter geometry and coatings. 8. Reviews discrepancies and uses analytical problem solving to identify and recommend changes to processes that address root cause. Abilities must include machine capability knowledge and process variables. 9. Reviews tape programs for machining and probing for proof cycles, trains other machinists in tape proof techniques. 10. Provides engineering assistance to perform process improvements in accordance with customer requirements. </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Qualifications</H2> </div><div>Required Qualifications: <ul> <li> High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li> <li> Requires minimum of 7 years experience in the field of process focus. Must be able to certify in all applicable welding processes and materials and have a general knowledge of basic metallurgy. Must have good communication skills and be able to train welders and maintain certification documents. Computer proficiency is desirable.
