Every time you travel by air almost anywhere in the world, it is likely that GKN is helping you on your way.</p> <p><br> We are looking for people who want to make a difference, talented members with the skills and passions to become the best of the future in what they do.</p> <div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Summary</H2> </div><div><p>To support development and implementation of technical solutions that are compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Implement and support development of technical solutions which are compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.</li> <li>Identify technical problems and apply solutions.</li> <li>Support and implement methods plans, toolsets and approaches that are appropriate and compliant to achieve the design and programme objectives.</li> <li>Provide input to bids and proposals within assigned programmes/projects.</li> <li>Understand technical risks and propose mitigations within assigned programmes/projects.</li> <li>Support generation of test specifications/plans and/or alternate means of compliance as required to demonstrate design solution complies with certification requirements.</li> <li>Assist in developing designs that are cost effective using appropriate techniques for design such as manufacture and assembly (DFMA) and design to cost.</li> <li>Support creation of design definitions, including dimensions, materials, parts, process notes, assemblies, and tolerances which are aligned to all design requirements and objectives.</li> <li>Generate and self-check assigned project deliverables, documents, and reports as required within limits of signature authorizations.</li> <li>Support technical and customer reviews, including formal gate reviews, including the creation and preparation of technical data and presentations.</li> <li>Process concessions and assist in implementing solutions to address non-conforming products and designs.</li> <li>Perform all activities at a level of independence with the support of lead and expert engineers.</li> <li>Assist the development and maintenance of work instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and guidelines.</li> <li>Support manufacturing engineering team for all material and process definitions and requirements associated with the product design, where applicable.</li> <li>Understand material and processes qualification process, and assist with compliance to internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, where applicable.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Qualifications</H2> </div><div></div></div></div><p><b>Diversity Inclusion and Belonging (DIB)</b></p> <p>As a global engineering company, innovation is what differentiates us from our competitors and is central to our success.</p> <p>A balance of cultures, ethnicities and genders help bring new ideas and creativity to GKN.
