Compiling an Operational Plan and ensure this is agreed upon with all stakeholders. Ensuring that efficiency and effectiveness of the operational activities, with targets focused on labor spent, procurement, quality and process. Lead an integrated program team, in which disciplines like Finance, Procurement and Engineering are represented.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Lead an IPT to create a highly performing team enabling the technical and leadership contributions from each member to achieve programme success and excellence in the Customer relationship.</li> <li>Apply financial and business management competencies to deliver the Business case, balance sheet, (working capital), revenue, margins and budget. This will include delivering the STRAT plan though the annual budgets.</li> <li>Ensure with their IPT that the contract is met and the achievement of each deliverable is agreed with the Customer.</li> <li>Identify and pull the insertion of technology to reduce cost and improve programme performance</li> <li>Support BD in new business bid proposals and lead negotiation of repeat or opportunities directly related to existing programme contracts</li> <li>Manage the Customer through ensuring "green" performance in Customer Scorecards and resolve any items of risk or issues with the Customer. Ensure the suitable engagement of the Organisation for resolution of technical issues and Operational items requiring escalation</li> <li>Chair the Configuration Control Board and agree any Customer/Supplier/internal changes within the scope of their authority</li> <li>Manage risks and opportunities to ensure the optimisation of margins/revenue and achievement of contractual requirements. This will be done is a planned and controlled way involving the whole IPT.</li> <li>Manage the accomplishment of the programme against a defined set of measures, adding any that might be necessary in addition to those within the Programme Performance Summary and related measures</li> <li>Ensure the capacity and competency requirement for resources and investment are provided through the various function process including the MPS, SIOP, and procurement external supply chain management processes</li> <li>Lead the deployment of the Lifecycle Management, ensuring the timely achievement of Gates and the suitable commitment of IPT and Functional team members.</li> <li>Ensure the programme is managed in accordance with PM governance and procedures including the creation of a Quality Plan to demonstrate application of the existing GKN BMS and to ensure compliance with any Contractual requirements</li> <li>Ensure the use of lessons learned and LEAN/CI processes to drive a culture of continuous improvement and secure optimised performance. This includes driving improvements in margin and quality/schedule enablers to deliver contract and business case requirements</li> <li>Where appropriate ensure the NPI phase of the programme delivers the capability and capacity for business case performance in steady sate, spares and support.
