There are two available shifts: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Please indicate your preferred shift on your application. Summary: The Cycle Counter is responsible for verifying inventory in both the warehouse and production floor. As discrepancies are encountered, they will be involved in the corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. They will also assist with Material Handling functions such as pulling and putting material away. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Perform daily cycle counts for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods</li> <li>Ensure that materials are in their proper locations and identify any misclassified inventory</li> <li>Assist in moving material between sites using SAP </li> <li>Help correct counts in production and identify any Bill of Materials (BOM) errors that may be causing discrepancies</li> <li>Organize and clean materials while conducting counts</li> <li>Monitor and maintain the integrity of inventory</li> <li>Ensure that First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices are being followed</li> <li>Maintain accuracy in product identification, location, and lot codes</li> <li>Research and investigate the root causes of inventory discrepancies</li> <li>Recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences</li> <li>Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items or weigh materials to determine the quantity on hand</li> <li>Report any discrepancies in over/under amounts and any damaged products</li> <li>Verify that daily warehouse pulls and put-aways are completed correctly</li> <li>Load, unload, identify, label, and put away inbound material</li> <li>Pick, pull, and distribute materials to appropriate warehouse locations to support manufacturing and order fulfillment</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>Integrity: The job requires honest and ethical behavior</li> <li>Self-control: The job requires maintaining professional composure</li> <li>Technology-oriented: Proficient in using scanners, iPods, computers, etc.</li> <li>Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously</li> <li>Self-motivated, cooperative team member with a personal commitment to excellence</li> <li>Experience working on the shop floor</li> <li>Must demonstrate strong communication skills</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and time management skills</li> <li>Excellent communication and organizational skills</li> <li>Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word required</li> </ul> Education/Experience: <ul> <li>Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required</li> <li>2+ years of work experience with Material Control/Cycle Counting</li> <li>Forklift and picker experience</li> <li>Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Warehouse environment</li> <li>SAP WM/MRP/ERP system (preferred)</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ability to read and understand English instructions</li> </ul> Mathematical Skills: <ul> <li>Strong math skills required</li> <li>Ability to convert units of measure</li> <li>Ability to read design specifications and technical drawings</li> </ul> Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
