The trainee will participate in Commercial Driver License (CDL) classes provided by Houston ISD, designed to prepare for the written tests administered by the Department of Public Safety (DPS). Observe and learn from experienced CDL drivers on active routes. Complete hands-on behind-the-wheel training to successfully pass the DPS driving skills test to obtain a CDL.</span></span></p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</H2> </div><div><p>1. Bus Driver Trainee will be responsible for participating in the Houston ISD CDL training program, which includes skills performance and observation. This program aims to equip trainees with the necessary skills and techniques to successfully pass the Texas Department of Public Safety skills tests required to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.<br> 2. Bus Driver Trainee must obtain the Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) within 20 hours of classroom training.<br> 3. Bus Driver Trainee must complete behind-the-wheel training and be prepared for the road test within 20 business days from the first training session.</p> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">MAJOR DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED</H2> </div><div><p>4.
