This role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to contribute to the financial stewardship, reporting excellence, and strategic growth of a leading organization.</p> <h2>About the Role</h2> <p>The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management of statutory and tax compliance requirements, oversight of month-end and year-end reporting processes, and supervision of junior accounting team members. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial records while supporting business decision-making through insightful financial analysis.</p> <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS, IAS, and Group accounting policies.</li> <li>Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.</li> <li>Review general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and financial variances.</li> <li>Manage statutory reporting and tax submissions, including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE, and NIS requirements. </li> <li>Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis initiatives.</li> <li>Coordinate audit activities and maintain strong internal controls.</li> <li>Develop and mentor accounting team members while driving process improvement initiatives.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications & Experience</h2> <h3>Required Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Professional accounting designation such as <strong>ACCA, CIMA, CMA</strong>, or an equivalent qualification.</li> </ul> <h3>Experience</h3> <ul> <li>Minimum <strong>four (4) years' experience</strong> in a similar accounting or finance role.</li> </ul> <h3>Technical Skills</h3> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards. </li> <li>Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and financial analysis. </li> </ul> <h2>What We're Looking For</h2> <p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. </li> <li>Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.</li> <li>A continuous improvement mindset and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment. </li> </ul> <h2>Why Join Us?</h2> <p>At ANSA McAL Chemicals Ltd, you'll be part of a team dedicated to operational excellence, innovation, and professional growth.
