The hardware produced at this location is complex, containing circuit card assemblies (CCAs), microelectronics assemblies, cable harnesses, and higher-level system assemblies. The person filling this position will focus on manufacturing engineer support and development for manufacturing various space complex hardware and RF applications. In-depth familiarity with all aspects of circuit card assembly design and fabrication will be highly beneficial in this position.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><strong><br>Essential Functions: </strong></span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Direct support personnel in the day-to-day execution of manufacturing tasks on the production floor.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Develop and support new methods and processes to improve existing and new operations</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Monitor defect trends, support and implement process improvements through root cause analysis and corrective actions.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Support and lead teams to resolve the manufacturing production yield, quality, and reliability issues.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Monitor production processes for efficiency, throughput, and safety improvements.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Provide advanced technical support to solve problems through process improvements related to manufacturing products.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Interface with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure hardware producibility, developing build strategies.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Design and develop manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Read and understand Assembly Drawings.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Work interactively and effectively in a team environment.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><strong><br>Qualifications:</strong></span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance upon hire.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif"><strong><br>Preferred Additional Skills:</strong></span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, and or Manufacturing engineering.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Experience with soldering and working with delicate electronic components.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Working knowledge of IPC/J-STD, Space Addendum workmanship requirements.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Familiarity with production processes such as Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, SPC, and FMEA.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Proficiency with Control or similar MRP-based systems, and Aegis-based Manufacturing Execution Systems.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Excellence in solving problems as they occur, recommending and implementing improvements related to the production process.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Strong communication skills and writing ability skills</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Ability to manage resources and multiple priorities while interacting with individuals at all levels within the organization and customers as required.</span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:white">#LI-FS1</span></p>
