The position will serve as a technical accounting advisor for management on complex financial transactions and reporting matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and producing robust documentation packages. The incumbent will partner with cross-functional teams on complex accounting transactions and enterprise-wide projects and liaise with internal and external auditors to support the company’s positions. Essential Functions: <ul> <li>Prepare and review technical accounting memos and other documentation to support accounting positions.</li> <li>Monitor accounting policies for required updates and compliance.</li> <li>Provide guidance on accurate interpretation and effective implementation of business control processes and policies.</li> <li>Stay abreast of changes in accounting guidance and assess impacts to accounting policies.</li> <li>Clearly communicate accounting guidance and impacts at the appropriate level (e.g., staff and peers, various L3Harris teams including executive management, external auditors, external advisors).</li> <li>Develop effective, collaborative relationships with segment and functional teams.</li> <li>Liaise with external auditors to support the company’s positions.</li> <li>Assist with financial reporting tasks as necessary.</li> <li>Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.</li> <li>Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other corporate reporting initiatives as needed.</li> <li>Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior accounting experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior accounting experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior accounting experience.</li> <li>CPA with active license.</li> </ul> Preferred Additional Skills: <ul> <li>Experience in contract accounting, preferably including U.S. Government contracts.</li> <li>Big Four experience with audits of clients that are SEC registrants and/or U.S. Government contractors.</li> <li>Strong technical and financial acumen.</li> <li>Previous experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry.</li> <li>Experience with percentage of completion accounting, including estimates at completion.</li> <li>Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously.</li> <li>Leveraging technology to enhance data analytics.</li> </ul> In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $105,000 - $195,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $91,000 - $170,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
