<h3>Job Description (JD) – Finish Yard Executive / Officer</h3> <p><strong>Position:</strong> Finish Yard Executive / Officer<br><strong>Department:</strong> Production / Operations<br><strong>Location:</strong> Manufacturing Plant</p> <h4>Job Purpose</h4> <p>To manage finish yard operations efficiently by ensuring proper receipt, storage, identification, handling, dispatch readiness, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and coordination with production, quality, logistics, and stores teams.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <h4>Finish Yard Operations</h4> <ul> <li>Manage day-to-day finish yard activities for finished goods/materials.</li> <li>Ensure proper receipt, stacking, storage, and preservation of finished products.</li> <li>Maintain material traceability and identification as per company standards.</li> <li>Monitor yard capacity utilization and optimize storage space.</li> </ul> <h4>Inventory Management</h4> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP/QSM/ERP systems.</li> <li>Perform material receipt, issue, transfer, and stock reconciliation activities.</li> <li>Conduct periodic physical verification and cycle counting of finished goods.</li> <li>Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.</li> </ul> <h4>Dispatch & Logistics Coordination</h4> <ul> <li>Coordinate with logistics and dispatch teams for timely vehicle placement and loading.</li> <li>Ensure availability of dispatch documents, material tags, and loading plans.</li> <li>Monitor loading/unloading activities and ensure compliance with safety requirements.</li> <li>Coordinate with transporters and internal stakeholders for smooth material movement.</li> </ul> <h4>Documentation & MIS</h4> <ul> <li>Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.</li> <li>Maintain dispatch records, stock statements, and yard utilization reports.</li> <li>Generate reports using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Dashboards).</li> <li>Ensure proper documentation and record retention.</li> </ul> <h4>Quality & Compliance</h4> <ul> <li>Ensure finished materials are stored as per quality requirements.</li> <li>Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and release of materials.</li> <li>Support internal and external audits.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and statutory requirements.</li> </ul> <h4>Safety & Housekeeping</h4> <ul> <li>Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and 5S practices in the finish yard.</li> <li>Ensure safe stacking, material handling, and vehicle movement.</li> <li>Report unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.</li> <li>Conduct regular safety inspections and awareness activities.</li> </ul> <h4>Team Coordination</h4> <ul> <li>Coordinate with Production, Stores, Planning, Quality, Procurement, and Logistics departments.</li> <li>Supervise contract manpower deployed in the finish yard.</li> <li>Ensure optimum manpower utilization and productivity.</li> </ul> <h3>Skills Required</h3> <ul> <li>SAP (MIGO, Inventory Management, Stock Control)</li> <li>Advanced Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, MIS Reporting)</li> <li>Inventory & Warehouse Management</li> <li>Material Handling & Logistics Coordination</li> <li>Documentation & Audit Compliance</li> <li>Strong Communication and Team Coordination</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Qualification</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate / Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.</li> <li>3–8 years of experience in Finish Yard, Stores, Warehouse, or Logistics operations in a manufacturing environment.</li> </ul> <h3>KPIs</h3> <ul> <li>Inventory Accuracy (%)</li> <li>Dispatch Adherence (%)</li> <li>Stock Reconciliation Accuracy</li> <li>Vehicle Turnaround Time</li> <li>Safety Compliance</li> <li>Yard Space Utilization</li> <li>Audit Compliance Score</li> </ul>
