<p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.</li> <li>Preparing monthly sales plan based on N+2 UEOB ( Unexecuted Order book ) after discussion with all regions sales heads and then coordinating with factory planners for</li> <li>finalizing monthly production plan.</li> <li>Releasing MRP ( Material requirement planning) as per sales plan in time to ensure availability of raw material as per agreed monthly production plan .</li> <li>Ensure debottlenecking of operations which creates bottleneck for achieving monthly sales / production budgets</li> <li>Ensure 100% capacity utilization of all production units and loading plant as per maximum value creation.</li> <li>Ensure alignment with Sourcing and Hedging strategy.</li> <li>Pricing Negotiation and Finalization for all the commodities</li> <li>Capex Negotiation and purchase.</li> <li>Monitor Global commodity exchanges</li> <li>Purchase based on statistics of LME\</li> <li>Lead and mentor SCM, procurement, planning, and logistics teams.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.</li> <li>Manage procurement of copper, aluminum, polymers, PVC, XLPE, steel, and packing materials.</li> <li>Vendor and Supplier Management - Develop strategic sourcing and long-term vendor partnerships</li> <li>Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms.</li> <li>Lead demand forecasting, MRP and weekly/daily production planning.</li> <li>Capacity and constraint management</li> <li>Changeover Optimization, balanced capacity loading and improve asset utilization</li> <li>Optimize inventory levels across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.</li> <li>Reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory.</li> <li>Manage inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and dispatch planning as per customer schedule.</li> <li>Optimize freight costs and ensure timely deliveries.</li> <li>Handle import/export logistics and compliance if applicable.</li> <li>Drive cost reduction initiatives</li> <li>Monitor SCM KPIs including OTIF, inventory turns, and logistics costs</li> <li>Ensure statutory, safety, and environmental compliance.</li> <li>Ensure effective ERP utilization (SAP / Oracle / Others).</li> <li>Prepare MIS and dashboards for management review.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Technical: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of cable manufacturing processes (power cables, control cables, LT/HT cables, etc.),</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of raw materials.</li> <li>Expertise in Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Production Planning</li> <li>SAP Proficiency</li> <li>Knowledge of inventory control techniques (ABC, FSN, EOQ, JIT)</li> <li>Understanding of logistics, warehousing, and transportation management</li> <li>Exposure to import/export procedures, customs documentation, and statutory compliance</li> <li>Cost analysis, should-costing, and working capital optimization\</li> <li>Familiarity with quality standards, audits, and supplier certifications</li> </ul> <p><strong>Functional :</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contract negotiation and commercial finalization</li> <li>Demand forecasting and S&OP coordination</li> <li>Inventory optimization and reduction of slow-moving / obsolete stock</li> <li>Logistics planning and freight cost optimization</li> <li>Cross-functional coordination with Production, Sales, Finance, and QA</li> <li>Risk management and supply continuity planning</li> </ul>
