This role ensures the effective implementation of new technologies, materials and processes, while driving innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence.</p> <p>The role manages the technology and pre-press teams and acts as a key interface between production, R&D, suppliers and other internal stakeholders.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Dimensions & Scope </strong></p> <p>Reports to: Plant General Manager</p> <p>People management: 11 direct reports (Technologists, Prepress, Industrialization roles) and 1 indirect role (NBO)</p> <p>Geographical scope: Primarily local (Prostějov site) with regional collaboration</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Principal Accountabilities </strong></p> <p>Lead and develop a team of technologists, R&D specialists and prepress specialists</p> <p>Drive the implementation and set-up of new technologies, ensuring all technical documentation is completed and maintained</p> <p>Monitor technological developments and innovations; define and maintain the site technology roadmap and promote new projects</p> <p>Lead development of new materials and support product innovation initiatives</p> <p>Manage and execute technological trials, including testing, validation and industrialization of new products and processes</p> <p>Oversee pre-press activities and ensure alignment with production and customer requirements</p> <p>Collaborate with suppliers of raw materials and technologies; resolve technical issues and support material development</p> <p>Support manufacturing through process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives</p> <p>Act as the key link between site operations, R&D, and business stakeholders</p> <p>Contribute to achieving site performance targets through technology-driven improvements</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Major Challenges & Complexities </strong></p> <ul> <li>Promote a strong safety culture and demonstrates adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures. </li> <li>Actively contribute to a high performance culture and innovation at the site</li> <li>Facilitate and enforce all company policies and procedures.</li> <li>Meet or exceed plant business plan and KPI’s.</li> <li>Integrate Continuous Improvement initiatives into the culture of the Plant.</li> <li>Transferring know-how, sharing knowledge</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications/Requirements</strong></p> <ol> <li><strong>Formal Qualifications and Experience</strong></li> </ol> <p>Strong experience in manufacturing environment (ideally flexible packaging or similar)</p> <p>Proven experience in leading technical / R&D / process teams</p> <p>Experience with implementation of new technologies, products and materials</p> <p>Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement</p> <ol start="2"> <li><strong> Specific Skills and Abilities</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Leadership and people management</li> <li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work both operationally and strategically</li> <li>Problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset</li> <li>Solution oriented with change management perspective</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities<strong> </strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>#LI-MK1</p>
