Department Overview Global Markets Technology builds and maintains software solutions used by Global Markets Front and Middle office businesses. The business is spread across EMEA, US, Japan, AEJ, and emerging Markets like India, Brazil, and China. It deals in wide range of products including FX, Rates, Credit, Securitized Products, Equities, Futures & Options, FI/EQ Derivatives, and Prime Services including financing. Front Office Risk and PnL is a business-critical area that calculates Intraday and End of Day Risk and P&L for all the Fixed Income and Currency desks. These are then distributed to various critical downstream functions like Risk and Finance via a big data platform, as well as viewed by trading desks globally. There is an ongoing program of work to keep the platforms up to date with new requirements, as well as a long-term strategic re-architecture program to modernize the technology stack, support additional businesses and ensure capacity for increased trading volumes.
