Role Description: The US Economic Research team produces thoughtful and timely analysis on various aspects of the US Economy. The team monitors domestic economic and political developments, providing key insights and a dynamic US economic outlook generated by detailed underlying forecasts, with a particular focus on Fed policy. Nomura’s trading desk relies heavily on the US Economic Research team’s macro view. The team communicates its views primarily through periodic research reports and frequent client meetings. Job Duties: The US Economic Research Analyst will focus primarily on analyzing macroeconomic data – with implications for growth, inflation and the labor market – forecasting and following Federal Reserve and government policy. In this role, you are responsible for modeling/analysis, conducting research, contributing to research reports and servicing institutional clients.
