Division Overview: Global Markets Division: Based in Mumbai, the front-office team which works on a team extension model delivers pricing, modelling and risk management expertise to the Global Markets business. Founded as a centre of excellence, the group leads the way in price discovery and portfolio optimization techniques and is integral to the business’ aggressive revenue targets. The team is playing an integral role in structuring, pricing, risk management and new idea generation. Team Overview The Fixed Income Electronic Markets team is responsible for managing Nomura’s Rates and Credit Electronic trading offering. This primarily means overseeing client distribution, development of the electronic platform and supporting electronic trading activity. The team supports businesses globally and there is heavy interaction with sales, trading, technology, and external clients/vendors. By developing strong relationships with our client base through consistent interaction, independent advice and pre-eminent access to Asia, we have built a powerful global franchise. The Electronic Trading Automation team is responsible for supporting Nomura’s Fixed Income electronic trading offering to clients. This role primarily focuses on developing and maintaining automated trading solutions, improving operational efficiency, and reducing manual intervention in client onboarding processes. It combines machine learning expertise with advanced automation to develop cutting-edge trading solutions in our state-of-the-art Data Labs environment. Position Specifications: Corporate Title Analyst Experience 2-3 years Qualification Computer Science / Engineering background Role & Responsibilities: A key position has opened in our Fixed Income Electronic Trading division. This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to our automation strategy, helping transform our business operations and unlock substantial revenue potential. Be part of a team that's revolutionizing our electronic trading capabilities. Collaborate with global electronic client service teams and product managers to drive automation initiatives to enhance client onboarding to expand our client footprint on fixed income electronic trading platforms. Leverage cutting-edge technology to optimize and automate operational workflows between electronic trading systems and sales teams, replacing manual processes, and improving efficiency and revenue potential. Design and implement robust exception monitoring and management systems. Develop, maintain, and optimize relational databases, data pipelines, and automated reporting tools to track performance data, trading metrics, and performance KPIs. Write SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of trading and market data for client engagements and internal reporting. Produce detailed technical documentation and keep system specifications up to date. Mind Set: Mandatory Desired Domain Minimum 1/2 years of experience working within markets. Strong Python programming skills and technology mind-set is a must. Advanced Excel skills are critical. Knowledge of data manipulation tools – Alteryx and Power BI is good to have. Knowledge of OTC and Cash, Swaps Fixed Income products and financial markets is desirable – as is e xposure to electronic trading. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and interact with all levels of individuals in the business. Ability to multitask and work in a high pressure and dynamic environment is critical.
