This is why we encourage diversity in our recruitment – Bring yours to Nexans, it is welcome! #PowerToInnovate #PowerToImpact #PowerToCare</p><p>Purpose</p> <ul style="list-style-type:square"> <li>Manage the Fergus Maintenance Department to ensure machinery and the facility is in good working order to achieve production requirements.</li> <li>Continuously improve Maintenance performance in support of production, safety and productivity goals. </li> <li>Manage costs to stay within budget.</li> </ul> <p>Areas of Responsiblity</p> <ul style="list-style-type:square"> <li>Ensure that all Health and Safety as well as Environmental regulations are complied with.</li> <li>Part of Fergus Management Team</li> <li>Manage daily breakdowns quickly and effectively</li> <li>Keep abreast of developments related to maintenance systems to ensure the Company is operating in the most efficient and cost effective manner and that objectives for continuous improvement are achieved.</li> <li>Understand and implement Nexans Excellence Way in Maintenance program</li> <li>Create roadmap for Maintenance improvement</li> <li>Work with other functions of the Plant to be aware of activities and recognize key problems areas and define objectives to improve. Support as needed.</li> <li>Support/manage hiring, discipline, terminate as required</li> <li>Identify training needs for the Maintenance staff to ensure a high level of workmanship</li> <li>Review salary employee’s performance and career plans accordingly</li> <li>Maintain employee morale and encourage a team environment in order to ensure a positive and productive work force</li> <li>Control expenses to ensure that the budget is maintained and implement any expense reduction measures</li> <li>Maintain equipment calibrations</li> <li>Monthly reporting of Maintenance KPIs</li> </ul> <p>Expected Results</p> <ul style="list-style-type:square"> <li>Measurement in place and improving trend in A Machine availability</li> <li>Control costs within budget</li> <li>Spare parts are controlled using SAP</li> <li>Support capital and improvement projects</li> </ul> <p>Required Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul style="list-style-type:square"> <li>University degree in Engineering or equivalent along with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills are a must</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Process thinking and problem solving skills</li> <li>Impact driven, willingness to make things happen</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills</li> <li>Excellent mechanical and electrical trouble shooting skills</li> <li>Understanding of wire and cable products and processes is an asset</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and effectively handle several projects simultaneously</li> <li>Occasional after hours work and calls</li> <li>Software: SAP, Excel, CAD</li> <li>Strong safety record</li> </ul> <p>Type of Position: Existing</p> <p>Use of AI: AI may be used to screen and assess applications, but not for selection purposes</p> <p>Salary: $114,000 per annum to $128,000 per annum</p><p><strong>OUR GROWTH CULTURE</strong></p> <p>Among our employees we share the same values- we are pioneers of the energy transition, dedicated to deliver to the highest standards of performance united to achieve our ambitious goal. </p> <p>At the individual level our growth culture is built on trust and collaboration.
