Join us and help electrify the future. WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM We are looking for a Mechanical Test Engineer to join our Mechanical Test Centre (MTC) in Halden, Norway. You will become part of our Technical organization and work in a highly specialized environment focused on testing and qualification of advanced cable and umbilical systems supporting some of the world’s most complex energy infrastructure projects. The Mechanical Test Centre plays a critical role in ensuring that Nexans products meet customer requirements, international standards, and internal quality expectations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Department Managers, Team Leaders, Laboratory Technicians, project teams, suppliers, contractors, and QHSE functions. You will report directly to the Department Manager and contribute to both project execution and R&D activities in a dynamic engineering environment. HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting mechanical and hydraulic testing activities for cable and umbilical systems. You will play an important role in supporting Nexans projects by ensuring that testing is performed safely, accurately, and according to customer and industry requirements.
